Kats were Kool
Tonight we went to the Nashville Kats game thanks to Keaton Bell who hooked us up with some very reasonably priced tickets (as in free). The game was a really good one. They were down for most of it, but came back with two touch downs and some firm defense in the last minute, and ended up winning. And since they scored more than 50 points, we all got free tacos!Everyone be sure to say "thanks" to Keaton for helping to make this happen, and thanks to each of you for being well behaved and cooperative. It's possible to do more cool stuff when we know we can trust you guys to be good representatives of Christ and his Church.
Coming soon...FBX!!!

Kats Game
This Saturday, don't forget that we're going to see the Nashville Kats play. If you're planning to go, but you haven't signed up yet, call me ASAP! I only have 20 tickets with about 20 people signed up. If I'm going to need extra tickets, I need to know about it. I'll be in touch with those of you who have signed up to make sure you're definite. (If I don't get in touch with you, it means that I don't know that you want to go)We'll probably meet at the building around 5:15 to eat some Pizza. The Game is at 7:00. See you soon!

Who will prevail? The Pirates or the Ninjas?

At church camp this year, our dress up day's theme will be PIRATES VS. NINJAS. I'm curious about which teach will have the most people dressed up. I think they used a pirate theme recently, so on the one hand I'm expecting a lot of pirates. On the other hand, am I the only one who just thinks ninjas are awesome? I'm totally going to be a ninja. I'm trying to come up with a couple of competitive games we might could use that would make this a bit more fun. Maybe we could compete to eat first or have some special privilege or something. So who will win? The Pirates or the Ninjas? What do you think?
Here are some related links for your enjoyment:

Ask A Ninja: This is a great website (I subscribe to the Podcast). It would be great if the Ninja could make a cameo at Church Camp.
Real Ultimate Power: Do Ninjas have the real ultimate power? This kid named Robert seems to think so.
And finally, as Jedi warriors pertain to Ninjas, how could we forget to include the Star Wars Kid?

SNAC for Shut-ins
Hello! Thanks to everyone for helping out with the SNAC on Sunday night. We had it here in the multipurpose building. Mickey Clark arranged it, and provided us with addresses for Shut-ins. Everyone jumped in and helped write cards. We sent a total of 7 letters to soldiers overseas and 19 cards to our congregation's shut-ins. I think this was an easy, but very important kind of service project. We need to make sure our shut-ins know that even if they can't be at the worship services, we love them as part of God's family.

CSI: Old Hickory
Bucky Has Been Stolen.
I just returned from making a hospital visit to find a note on my office door. (They didn't actually write it backwards, it just appears that way in the picture I took with my webcam). I'm a little afraid, but since they can't kill something that's already dead, I suppose nothing too bad can happen. As long as they don't try and take my pets, I won't have to hurt anybody. :-)I'm sure Bucky will turn up soon.

Some people think they're sneaky
Last night about 5:15, I got a call from Cody, Hillary, and Corn Bread who were trying to find my house to "drop by and visit". They couldn't find my house, though it's practically in the church parking lot. So I stood outside until they finally found me. They had been to the right house number...on the wrong street. They also went to my next door neighbor's and knocked.
I knew they were probably going to roll us sometime soon, but I decided not to call them on it, because just in case they hadn't thought of it I didn't want to plant any bad ideas. So after our welcome dinner last night, Carolina and I returned to find our house rolled. I think they tried to write something in the grass with the TP, but I couldn't figure out what it said.
I guess this means we're officially "in".
